Overview
A case that occurred in the late Qing Dynasty, in which Qing soldiers exterminated a family and hid treasures, remained a mystery until the Republic of China. In addition to those who died or were separated, there are five people who were divided into gold at that time. They are brothers Watson (played by Yao Kan) and Hua Fa (played by Fang Zhoubo), as well as Xu Mingyang (played by Wang Zhihua), Li Bei (played by Zhang Yuan) and Niu Laoba (played by An Feilong). The two Watson brothers used their wealth to build bridges and have now become celebrities in the political and business circles. Yao Fa has taken the position of police chief, while Xu Mingyang donated gold to charity and continued to practice his profession as a doctor. After Li Bei squandered all his property in a foreign market, he was often troubled by nightmares. He went to the church to work as a handyman, hoping that the Lord would forgive the sins in his heart. Niu Laoba was addicted to gambling and eventually ended up begging on the street. Unexpectedly, Ye Yushu (played by Yan Kuan), who was saved from being exterminated back then, has now become a professor of medicine. He swore a vicious oath in his heart to ensure that all the inhumane gold grabbers would not end well.
