In the blue blood and yellow sand, a legend is born; in the war of thousands of years, heroes are born. "Dunhuang: Born a Legend" is the first biographical and dramatic legendary documentary. It is dubbed by Feng Xiaogang, produced by an Emmy Award-winning multinational team, and jointly interpreted by Chinese and foreign scholars. It reveals the unknown mysterious Dunhuang from a global perspective. This film tells the legendary stories of many historical figures from the Han Dynasty to the late Tang Dynasty. It explores how Dunhuang transformed from a remote border town into an international business hub and one of the greatest art and religious centers in the world. It also explains why it has become a famous node on the Silk Road and a world cultural heritage site today. Through plot interpretation, documentary shooting, expert interviews and other content, this film takes the audience into the legendary past, getting closer to those people who pushed Dunhuang to glory with their courage and vision, and re-understanding a palace that stands at the intersection of China and the West and contains human cultural genes.
