Overview
This is a ridiculous comedy about the remarriage of a middle-aged man and woman. The two couples, whose backgrounds and life experiences are completely different, are in conflict with each other over sex, family affairs, and money. The vivid faces of women and men in the 1960s written by Wang Zhenhe are still full of human observation and compassion in the 21st century. As a civil servant, Mr. Ou carries the traditional burden of Confucianism and is cautious and prudent; Gillian, who was born in the countryside, is like the mother of the earth, living a confident and carefree life. A seemingly strong man is weak in sexual intercourse; a woman who has never read a book and has low self-esteem tries her best to defend her family status.
