The story takes place in the Ming Dynasty. Ziqiang (played by Chen Zhipeng) and Zimin (played by Wu Qilong) are brothers who are sympathetic to each other. Their father was killed by an adulterer. The two were also hunted down by a ruthless killer, and they embarked on an escape journey. Ziqiang came to Broken Heart Valley, met the kind-hearted Wan Liyun (played by Gu Guanzhong) and Hua Wuying (played by Zhu Baoyi), and was adopted as his adopted son. Zimin met Princess Sissi (played by Zhang Huifen) who has magical abilities, and the two became good friends. The leader of the Demon Cult, Hua Nongyue (played by Ruan Qianzhi), discovered the whereabouts of Ziqiang and Zimin. Ziqiang was arrested, and was bewitched by Hua Nongyue and controlled his mind to become a puppet. However, Zimin, who escaped, found Hua Wuying and worshiped Wan Liyun as his teacher, and developed an excellent kung fu. Hua Nongyue learned that Zi Min was not dead, so she sent out the puppet Zi Qiang, hoping to create a situation where the two brothers would kill each other.
