Overview
Yuan (Huang) Liaofan lost his father when he was young, and his mother asked him to respect the teachings of his ancestors and give up his studies to practice medicine. However, he was unwilling to do so. Later, he met the charlatan Kong Mou who pointed out that he had good luck in an official career, so he entered the school with his mother's consent and made progress along the way. He was a scholar and passed the exams step by step, but until middle age he seemed to have not escaped from the calculations of the sorcerers, so he fell into the shackles of fatalism. Just when he was mentally depressed and sinking, after receiving the guidance of an expert from outside the world, he understood that people's destiny is in their own hands. Through actions that benefit the public one by one, in the process of correcting his own shortcomings and modifying his behavior, he also changed his own destiny.
