Overview
The story takes place in the early 1970s. The movement to go to the mountains and countryside is in full swing. Zhuang Huisheng (played by Shi Tiangeng) secretly changed his volunteer plan because of his crush on Ye Xiaofan (played by Wang Yuanke). However, it backfired and he went to northern Shaanxi alone. Ye Xiaofan, Qiao Haiyang (played by Zhang Yi) and others were assigned to the Northeast Construction Corps. Duan Jun fell in love with Ye at first sight, but Ye only liked Hai Yang. Fan Xuedong (played by Liu Xiangjing) is narrow-minded and sets traps on the cheerful and optimistic Hai Yang time and time again, but he is always rescued by Company Commander Big Mouth (played by Cheng Yu). Liu Beishang (played by Wang Guifeng) and Haiyang are as close as brothers. He falls in love with Zheng Hongmei (played by Shen Aojun), but Hongmei has a crush on Qiao Haiyang. Ye Xiaofan was unable to guard against Duan Jun's worries, so Haiyang fought with him, but in the end Xiaofan fell into the trap set by Duan Jun and was raped by him to become pregnant. When he committed suicide, he was saved by Zhuang Huisheng, who was recruited back to the city. After hearing the news, Qiao Haiyang was completely desperate.
