Overview
Xia Lei (played by Lin Ruiyang) has lived in the deep mountains and forests since he was a child. His father Xia Muyun accidentally rescued a man named Kang Bingqian and entrusted Xia Lei to the latter when he was seriously ill. Kang Bingqian took Xia Lei home and lived with his two children, Kang Mengfan (Yu Xiaofan) and Kang Menghua (Shi Yu). Kang Bingqian's love for Xia Lei soon aroused Kang Menghua's jealousy. After a big quarrel, the stubborn Xia Lei chose to run away from home. This experience of running away made Xia Lei meet his lifelong friend Chu Tianbai (played by Weng Jiaming), and the two became brothers. Years passed in the blink of an eye, and the children of the Kang family and the Chu family entered college one after another and embarked on their own lives. Kang Mengfan and Chu Tianbai had been engaged since they were very young. However, Kang Mengfan fell in love with Xia Lei, who was different. When Chu Tianbai learned about this, the brotherhood broke down.
