Overview
Wu Zetian (played by Hui Yinghong) plotted to get rid of the prince in her later years and was forced to pass the throne to Tang Zhongzong Li Xian after failing. The palace maids Meng Fan (played by Liu Tingyu) and Meng Fu (played by Liu Xinyou) were caught in it, and experienced scenes of bloody power struggles in the harem. Princess Taiping (played by Christine Yang) sends Meng Fan to contact Li Longji (played by Lee Seung-hyun), and the two develop a secret love.
