Overview
The story takes place in a turbulent period of war, internal and external troubles. Wang Sisong, the ruler of the capital, was falsely accused of collaborating with the enemy and treason, and was sentenced to death. Fortunately, his son Wang Zhongping (played by Ye Tong) escaped death and was rescued by the kind-hearted prostitute Chunxiang (played by Chen Xiaoxuan) and brought back to Piaohongyuan. In this way, this brothel became Wang Zhongping's last refuge. In Piaohongyuan, Wang Zhongping met Jiao Guiying (played by Zhao Yazhi), a popular figure. Wang Zhongping was in danger several times, but Jiao Guiying used her wisdom and courage to resolve the dangers one by one. Over time, Wang Zhongping and Jiao Guiying fell in love, and the two made a promise to stay together for a lifetime. However, Wang Zhongping's special identity destined him to be unable to live a normal life. The haunting past not only dragged him down, but also implicated Jiao Guiying.
