Overview
In 1944, our Canal Detachment received information that the Japanese army had opened a new mining area at the Dongshan Coal Mine in Lianhua Town. There were various signs that they were brewing a huge conspiracy. The Canal Detachment of the Lunan Military Region sent Luo Qiming to pretend to be German mining expert Shen Shaoyuan and went to Lianhua Town to investigate the truth. Luo Qiming has a close relationship with Zhou Yaqing, the daughter of the person in charge of the Dongshan Coal Mine, and Guan Tianxiong, the captain of the mine police. How he can hide the truth and complete the task is a constant test for him. During the investigation, Luo Qiming fell in love with the mining area doctor Mie Ando, but Masakichi Ando, the person in charge of the new mining area and Mie's father, became Luo Qiming's biggest opponent. As the secrets of the new mining area were slowly revealed, Zhou Yaqing and Guan Tianxiong went astray, but Mie Ando sided with Luo Qiming. After experiencing a series of bloody baptisms, Zhou Yaqing and Guan Tianxiong woke up and died together with the Japanese. The Canal Detachment launched a miners' uprising. Luo Qiming blew up the new mining area and eliminated Ando Masakichi; Meihui found out his life experience and embarked on the road of revolution with Luo Qiming.
