Overview
The story takes place in the late Qing Dynasty. Zeng Shunya (played by Ouyang Long) is the third young master of the Zeng family. He has a marriage contract with Yao Mulan (played by Zhao Yazhi), the eldest daughter of the Yao family. Although Yao Mulan deeply loved a man named Kong Lifu (played by Lin Zaipei), she could not resist her fate and became Zeng Shunya's wife. Although she married a man she didn't love, Yao Mulan did not give up on herself. She has been deeply influenced by new ideas and understands that the key to controlling her destiny lies firmly in her own hands. Zeng Shunya was deeply impressed by Yao Mulan's reasoning and general knowledge, and his love for his wife gradually deepened.
