Overview
The hero of the film, Yakov Koreshkov, dedicated his life to protecting the state border. In the 20s of the twentieth century, during the liquidation of a gang of Basmachi, he first met the traitor Abzal, who collaborated with the bandits. During the Great Patriotic War, Koreshkov again had to face it. The saboteurs sent to the Turkestan highway area were destroyed. But Abzal managed to escape. The last meeting took place after the war, when Koreshkov led an operation to detain a group of agents of a foreign power.
