In 2020, the setting will be changed to Osaka, and Tora-san will be revived in modern-day Osaka! Tora-san is played by Kansai rakugo performer Katsura Jaku. The rakugo show ``Katsura wa Tsurai yo'' attracted attention by playing Tora-san. Director Yoji Yamada himself came up with the idea for a new image of Tora-san in ``Counterfeit: Otoko wa Tsurai yo'' because of their similar appearance. The setting has been changed to modern times, and both Sakura (Takako Tokiwa) and her family speak the Osaka dialect. Although it claims to be a "counterfeit," the most interesting thing about it is that it is a "counterfeit" created by the real thing.
