Don Mimmo Calò De Vigni and Don Salvatore Raciti are two bosses, one Sicilian and the other Calabrian, who move with their families to Genoa and Milan respectively to escape the feud between their clans. Nicolò, Don Mimmo's son, grew up admiring his mother, from whom he acquired the elegance and feminine class that lead him to a different life choice, of which everyone is tacitly aware. Carmela, on the other hand, is the daughter of Don Salvatore, rebellious and non-conformist. To establish relations between the two families, Nicolò and Carmela are forced to marry but Glenda and Mattias, two undercover policemen who pretend to be a painter and art critic, soon burst into their lives.
