Yu Shengnan (played by Li Ruosi), a female professor in the laboratory of St. John's University, suffered an unfair injustice. Detective Zhong Lang (played by Lu Liangwei) who firmly believed in her innocence helped Shengnan escape from prison overnight. The chief inspector of the French Concession was furious and surrounded the two men with guns. Kang Huasheng (played by Xu Liang) and Hong Xiaoya (played by Ma Cancan) arrived at the critical moment and volunteered to persuade the two to surrender. Everything started ten days ago. Katsuo reunited with his father's assistant Cai Shu (played by Wang Zhigang) during the Qingming Festival. He learned that Chen Da, who had framed his father, had escaped from prison and was looking for information about the bacteria H5 that might be in Katsuo's hands.
