Overview
The emigrant Carletto Po (Erminio Macario) marries by proxy, from Argentina, to an Italian. After a few years he returns to his homeland and does not find his wife, who has died in the meantime, but her son, Paolo, who by law is also his son. Carletto is not enthusiastic and tries to get rid of the boy, but a woman (who looks extraordinarily similar to Anna) intervenes to make him change his mind.
