Overview
The 1001st year is the year after the end of the Third Reich. We experience it through the eyes of two teenagers who are astonished to discover that there have always only been convinced anti-Nazis in their hometown. Opportunism, greed for life, corruption and the first, involuntary, comical attempts to step into the field of prescribed democracy, but also the challenge of the black market and the experience of first love - it is a turbulent, anarchic year for both boys
