Overview
In 1977, on the streets of Braunau - the birthplace of Adolf Hitler - a man is searching for his past. He is none other than Albert Hitler, the Fuhrer's own son. While passing his parents' house, Albert sees an old lady at his window. It's Azalée Levert, a neighbor. Albert introduces himself to her and goes to tell her about his father. It will be a completely unexpected portrait that he will make of the former master of the 3rd Reich. Adolf Hitler, comic trouper, music hall singer, tango dancer, failed psychoanalyst, transfixed and grotesque Don Juan was, in fact, an artist misunderstood by his contemporaries. The son also paints other portraits: a gritty Himler, a prehistoric Pétain, an operetta Mussolini, an Eva Braun allergic to wearing pants.
