Overview
In the city of Paris in 1938, a strange book arrives in the hands of a young writer, Gilles Lacombe. This strange book is entitled "Gilles and Louise". Desperate for inspiration for his own work and convinced that the book magically writes his life story, he embarks on a journey of intrigue, danger, nighttime shadows and notorious Parisian characters, sometimes risking his own life. His only objective being to find “Louise”; the girl of the book's title, he accepts the help of a girl, Ariane Clous. Together, they follow clue after clue, without realizing that they are getting closer through this adventure. Yet, not knowing the true power of the book, they are oblivious to the fact that they are not the only ones researching its origins.
